While traveling in India :
| • |
Drink only bottled water that is sealed and free of
visible contaminants. |
| • |
The safest cooked food to eat is food that is piping hot. It is
best to avoid food from street vendors, uncooked vegetables and fruit
that you cannot peel yourself. Wash your hands frequently and especially
before eating. |
| • |
Avoid dust and dusty areas. Cover your nose and mouth if exposed
to dust. |
| • |
Avoid excessive exposure to the sun. Drink plenty of water. Do
not walk barefoot. |
| • |
Avoid giving mosquitoes and insects the chance to bite. Use insect
repellent on your skin frequently and spray your room to eliminate
insects. Wear clothes that cover your body well throughout the day
and night. |
Limited Medical Assistance will be available on-site. Seek medical help
at the first sign of any ailment, since it is much easier to treat problems
when they are small.
